The AHNRC is situated in scenic Norton Summit, just 12 kms from the CBD. The surrounding catchment supports grazing, orchards, vineyards and acres of remnant vegetation as well as residential properties. Since opening in 2004, the AHNRC has become a focal point for the community to access the latest natural resource information and advice, resources and equipment. The AHNRC is co-located with Adelaide Hills Council services at 'The Summit Community Centre', providing a comprehensive range of services to the local community. 
CENTRE COORDINATOR The AHNRC is managed by a part-time coordinator with support from a team of volunteers. VOLUNTEERS Volunteers are vital to the ongoing development and operation of the AHNRC. Volunteers are involved in all aspects of the AHNRC, including technical program coordination and delivery, research, marketing and promotions, events, customer service and administration. MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE The management committee comprises members elected from the local community and is responsible for policy and program oversight. FUNDING SPONSORS The AHNRC is funded by the Adelaide & Mt Lofty Ranges Natural Resources Management Board (AMLR NRM). TECHNICAL STAFF ON SITE Three District Officers from the AMLR NRM Central Group are based at Norton Summit.
